We are the Holten family, proud of our Cook Islands and New Zealand heritage. After spending time away, we made the decision to move home to Rarotonga to reconnect with our roots and embrace the island lifestyle we love.
The ocean has always been at the heart of our lives. From fishing and diving to simply spending time on the water, it’s where we feel most at home. Our passion for the sea and adventure inspired us to create Into the Blue Rarotonga.
As a small family-run charter, our goal is to share the beauty of our ocean and the thrill of being out on the water with others. Whether you’re here for the fishing, the adventure, or simply to enjoy the experience, we look forward to welcoming you aboard and taking you Into the Blue.

Captain Dan & Owner
A laid-back Kiwi living the dream in Rarotonga, Dan is the owner and captain of Into the Blue Rarotonga Charters. Originally from Coromandel, New Zealand, he has spent most of his life fishing and diving, with a passion for the ocean that runs deep.
When he’s not out on the water, you’ll find him enjoying rugby, reggae, a cold beer, and a classic catch ’n’ cook. As owner and captain, Dan leads the crew and ensures every trip runs smoothly while delivering an unforgettable experience on the water.
Candice – Co-Owner

Candice is a true island girl at heart who shares Dan’s passion for the ocean and the outdoors. When she’s not enjoying time on the water, you’ll often find her swimming in the lagoon or exploring the island’s mountains. As co-owner and Dan’s wife, Candice plays a vital role behind the scenes, ensuring everything runs smoothly on land so the crew can focus on delivering an exceptional experience at sea.

Captain Tem
Tem is a true island waterman and captain with Into the Blue Rarotonga Charters. He’s spent countless hours on the ocean, fishing, diving, and exploring the deep blue. Easygoing, skilled, and full of local knowledge, Tem brings the perfect mix of island spirit and professionalism to every trip — making sure everyone on board has an unforgettable day out at sea.
